Workshop for Pollination Biologists in Training (Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC) 06.03.2013 |
NSERC-CANPOLIN is planning a capstone workshop for graduate students and other HQP working in the field of pollination biology to be held July 30st-Aug 1, 2013. The 3-day workshop will consist of two parts: (i) sharing of skills, techniques, and methodologies related to pollination biology and developed by HQP under the auspices of CANPOLIN, and (ii) professional skills training. The workshop will be a unique opportunity for network HQP to share what they’ve learned and expand their expertise beyond the scope of their own individual projects, and will be tailored to the needs and interests of the participants. The schedule will also include a poster session for students to share scientific findings from their projects, and a "career roundtable" event featuring professionals from academia, NGOs, government and industry. The workshop will be directed by Dr. Elizabeth Elle, with a number of guest speakers participating.
If you are interested in taking part in the workshop, please fill out the attached form and return by email to sbates@uoguelph.ca by March 27, 2013. Space will be limited! Priority will be given to current and former CANPOLIN HQP. If you have questions about the format or intention of the event, email Elizabeth (eelle@sfu.ca).
