Climate Change Impact Scientist (Bangor, Wales, UK)

The Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH), part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), is the UK’s Centre of Excellence for research in the terrestrial and freshwater environmental sciences.
An environmental scientist with climate change impacts experience is sought to join a team responsible for two major climate change experiments located in North Wales and the Peak District.

The role is for a fixed term appointment of one year to provide one year maternity cover for one of the main research scientists responsible for the facility and associated research. The experiments are recognized as an EU Infrastructure climate change facility (www.increase-infrastructure.eu) The post will involve supporting the project manager, PhD students and visiting postdocs with various research activities concerning the impacts of climate change on carbon fluxes, biodiversity, soil state and function and greenhouse gases including data management and synthesis.
